When Love Is A Lie

Katherine Clarke is drugged and assaulted in a trap orchestrated by her sister-in-law, Eloise. Her cold husband, Julian Nash, dismisses her pleas for help, leading Katherine to demand a divorce. Julian, who resents Katherine for marrying him to save his father, signs the papers but secretly investigates the incident. Katherine decides to live for herself, supporting her brother and incarcerated father without the Nashes. However, Julian's father, Laurence, pressures them for a grandchild, forcing Julian and Katherine to maintain their marriage facade. Frustrated by Julian's indifference and his public displays with Louisa Wright, Katherine begins to challenge him. She retaliates against Eloise and Louisa, culminating in a confrontation where she injures Louisa. Julian, furious, demands an apology, but Katherine declares he means nothing to her. Despite his anger, Julian secretly worries about Katherine and her family, while also realizing the depth of her hidden talents and pain.
