Too Late for Roses

The female lead, MIA CHEN, has known her boyfriend, RYAN CROSS, for ten years and been in a relationship with him for three. She stood by him through the shadows of his youth, the low points of college, and the hardships of starting a business, yet she never received a formal “I love you” or a bouquet of flowers just for her. She thought he wasn’t romantic, that he simply didn’t know how to express himself—until that rainy Valentine’s Day night, when she witnessed Ryan giving a bouquet of white roses and an expensive gift to her best friend, Ava Reed. From that moment on, Mia began to realize: Ryan wasn’t incapable of love; he simply refused to give it to her. When she caught Ryan and Ava red-handed at the entrance to the Women’s Clinic, she finally put an end to her decade-long emotional obsession. Years later, in a valley far from New York, Ryan planted roses across the mountainsides and, with tears in his eyes, begged her to come back. But Mia, holding her wedding bouquet, could only calmly tell him: “You and your roses are too late.” Translated with DeepL.com (free version)
