The Pharaoh's Obsession

In her past life, Neph, a noblewoman, was stabbed by her younger sister Asuna and pushed off a pyramid. She is reborn alongside her sister on the day of the husband‑choosing ceremony during the Hathor Festival. Asuna hurries to toss the fate‑deciding lotus flower to the High Priest’s son. Having seen through the hypocrisy of the theocracy, Neph unexpectedly casts the lotus toward a dust‑covered temple laborer — who is none other than Pharaoh Atum traveling incognito. She abandons her noble title to marry this so‑called “beggar”, completely unaware that she has wed the most powerful man in all of Egypt. From the mud‑brick huts of the slums to the depths of the royal palace, she endures family betrayal, persecution by her sister, court intrigues, and relentless trials from the Queen Mother. With extraordinary courage and kindness, she gradually proves herself worthy of the queen’s throne. When the Pharaoh’s true identity is revealed and lotus petals fall from the sky once more, she no longer plummets. Instead, she stands at the heights, side by side with the man she loves.
