Shattered Porcelain

Iris, born with the rare "Glass Skin Syndrome", was once a porcelain doll cherished and cradled in the palm of everyone's hand. When her family fell from grace, she turned to Sebastian, her boyfriend of ten years, for help—only to be taken to a piercing studio under his guise of revenge. The livestreamed piercings, priced at fifty thousand each, stripped her of every last shred of dignity in front of millions of viewers. Her mother committed suicide by overdosing on sleeping pills after watching the livestream. Unable to even scrape together enough money for her mother's funeral, Iris was then lured by Sebastian's adopted sister to an abandoned warehouse and brutally assaulted. At the brink of death, Liam, her childhood sweetheart who had been out of touch for a decade, descended like a savior. He brought not only the long-awaited cure for her condition but also uncovered the conspiracy that Sebastian had single-handedly orchestrated to bankrupt her family's company. In the end, the shattered porcelain was reforged. Iris severed all toxic ties and set off toward a free life that truly belonged to her.
