Prisoner of the Gilded Cage

Elena was born mute and sold to Matteo, Chicago’s ruthless mafia leader, at the age of seventeen. She gave him five years of quiet loyalty, yet he only sought to lock her away as his kept lover. On their wedding day, she fled, carrying his unborn child. She built a quiet new life alone, raising her daughter Sofia in secret. Half a decade later, Matteo tracked them down. He paid no mind to Sofia, and his disregard led to a devastating car accident. When Matteo hurried to give blood for the injured girl, Elena blocked him. Close family members cannot donate blood — the little girl is his daughter. Matteo is ready to destroy everything to win Elena back. But the once-silent woman has found her courage.
