Yet when his revenge was complete, only emptiness remained. In this ruthless game, he had unwittingly fallen in love. Further investigation uncovered the buried truth: Charles, a man long obsessed with Henry, was the true culprit behind David’s mother’s death and the collapse of the Smith family. The life-saving funds Henry had sent years ago were intercepted by Charles with Ethan’s aid. Turning his blade toward the real enemy, David realized he had wronged the one he loved.
