Dear Mom, I Hate You

A hospital fire split the Morne family ten years ago. Toddler Dora was saved by laborer Jack, left mute and amnesiac, renamed Aurora and raised in poverty. Years later, gifted Aurora attended an elite school, bullied relentlessly by her biological brother Lucas, who did not know her identity. Her crescent necklace revealed clues at his birthday party, but her parents accused her of theft and assaulted her and Jack. Desperate for money to treat injured Jack, Aurora confronted them at a gala, claiming she was their lost daughter. The family branded her a fraud until DNA results confirmed the truth. Crushed by their cruelty, Aurora jumped off a building. She survived throat surgery and regained her voice. The remorseful family begged forgiveness, yet Aurora only saw Jack as her real family. Later, Lucas saved her from a fire and was gravely hurt; Aurora donated his blood, softening their bond. Finally, she prepared to leave New York, standing between her birth family and adoptive father to make her decision at the airport.
