Betrayed BY LOVE, CHOSEN BY DESTINY

Three years ago, NBA star Arthur took a pay cut to join the league's worst team, the Ironclad Vanguard, on one condition: his fiancée Elena would become general manager. He single-handedly turned them into contenders. Before a crucial game, Arthur planned to propose to Elena afterward. But Elena pushed the untalented Julian, ordering Arthur to feed him the ball. Arthur ignored her, took over, and built a huge halftime lead. At halftime, Elena berated him and ordered the team to revolve around Julian. Julian made constant mistakes; the opponent tied the game. Arthur took over again, aggravated an old injury, and barely won. In the locker room, Julian played victim, implying the team isolated him. Ignoring Arthur's injury, Elena blamed him for nearly losing, withheld his bonuses, and forced him to apologize to Julian—or leave with nothing. Arthur stripped off his jersey and walked out. Chloe, a rival owner Arthur once rejected, signed him immediately with a max contract. Without Arthur, Julian led the team to a humiliating loss. Chairman Marcus stripped Elena of power—exposing that her position was only secured by Arthur's pay cut. At the sponsorship summit, Elena brought Julian. The mayor awarded the deal to Chloe, stating Texas only recognized Arthur. Julian challenged Arthur to a one-on-one match and was crushed. Elena finally saw Julian's incompetence, begged Arthur to return—he chose Chloe. Elena lost everything.
