AI Court: The Adopted Son Who Prosecuted Me

The world's first AI criminal trial opens. The defendant is Clara Bennett, a gravely ill investigative journalist. The one accusing her is Lucas, the adopted son she spent eighteen years risking her life to protect. The charges: murdering her husband Daniel, and long-term abuse and abandonment of her children. Memories are extracted frame by frame. Eighteen years ago, a killer broke into Clara's home and murdered Daniel. Clara wanted to call the police but was intercepted by the killer, and the person she turned to for help was also attacked. With no other choice, she cleaned the scene, concealed the truth, and fled with her children. As the trial proceeds, global audiences shift from anger to shock, from doubt to tears. Lucas finally realizes that behind all his mother's "cruelty" was one desperate act of protection after another. He kneels before her, weeping and repenting. But the true demon, Voss, has been sitting in the gallery all along. He is the real controller of the Athena system. Seeing Clara about to turn the case around, he activates a backdoor and forcibly locks the guilt rate at 100%, ordering execution. At the last moment, Clara's deceased husband Daniel awakens as an AI consciousness, reverses the trial, and puts Voss in the defendant's seat. The truth is revealed one piece at a time: Clara and Daniel had infiltrated the Tree of Life laboratory, discovered Voss using children for human experiments, and rescued an infant from its deepest recess—Voss's own biological son. Clara named him Lucas and raised him. The courtroom is stunned. Through eighteen years of silence and endurance, Clara protected her enemy's child and protected the truth. In the end, Voss is sentenced to death. Clara is acquitted and reunited with her two sons. Daniel lives forever in the digital world as an AI, continuing to watch over his family.
