A Heart Misplaced

Sarah Crowley, the sole heiress of a powerful energy empire, sacrificed her family’s trust and wealth nine years to support her husband Arthur, a man from a humble background. Unbeknownst to her, Arthur had a long-term lover named Maya long before their marriage. The pair plotted an evil scheme: they bribed a nurse to swap their newborns right after Sarah gave birth. Sarah’s biological daughter Mallory was sent to a shabby shelter run by Maya’s cousin, where she endured seven years of abuse and was even marked for illegal organ trafficking. Meanwhile, Maya’s daughter Leona lived a privileged life with Sarah, while Arthur secretly transferred millions of Sarah’s fortune to Maya for luxury houses and jewelry. Gradually, Sarah spotted countless odd clues and secretly gathered full evidence including transfer records, witness statements and DNA reports. She luckily rescued Mallory before the girl was sent away and brought her back home with her parents’ full backing. At Leona’s birthday party, Sarah exposed every hideous secret to all guests. Multiple witnesses testified in court, and Arthur and Maya were convicted of child trafficking, abuse and fraud, receiving lengthy prison sentences. Maya’s father took the innocent Leona to the countryside to raise her. Sarah reclaimed all stolen assets and took full control of the family group. She lived peacefully with Mallory and her parents, healing each other’s traumas. However, Maya remained full of hatred behind bars, hiding a hidden plan to seek revenge, which hinted at a new crisis waiting for Sarah’s peaceful life.
